Daran ‘s name has been familiar to us for a long time, first as leader of the French group Daran et les Chaises, then as a solo artist.
Above all, he is the author of 10 studio albums and 1 live album in 26 years.
His second album, released in 1995, Huit barrépropelled him to the forefront of the music scene, thanks to the hit single Dormir dehors.
After numerous collaborations with Miossec, Yarol Poupaud, Philippe Paradis and also Johnny, Francis Cabrel and Maurane, he is now preparing his comeback with an 11th album, “Grand Hotel Apocalypse”.Grand Hotel Apocalypse“scheduled for release in autumn 2024.

The new album “Grand Hôtel Apocalypse“ (the successor to“Endorphine”, released in 2017) is an album of eleven songs composed and recorded all by himself in his studio over a fairly short period of time, with the exception of the drums which were played and recorded in Los Angeles by Norm Block (The Afghan Whigs, Warpaint,..).
